The Greater Pennsylvania Carpenters’ Medical Plan (GPCMP) Trustees recently amended the plan to allow Contributing Employers to enroll full-time non-bargaining unit employees in the Standard Level Coverage option, subject to payment by the Contributing Employer of monthly premiums on behalf of each such enrolled employee(s). The Trustees reserve the right to limit or terminate participation in the Employer Health Program in compliance with applicable law.

Together with the Master Builders Association (MBA) the GPCMP will host a webinar/virtual townhall program to assist employers interested in providing coverage for their non-union employees. 

There are numerous requirements for participation, including a contribution history without delinquencies, or posting a Fringe Bond if you are a new signatory employer. In addition, the employer must cover all its employees (except dependents that work for the same employer) to protect the plan from potential adverse selection.
