G.E.M. Building Contractors and Developers Inc., a sole proprietorship, specializes in design-build, developing, and general contracting projects. G.E.M. Inc. was first established in 1947 by Gale E. Measel, Sr., and at that time, the company concentrated on residential construction. In 1972 Gale E. Measel, Jr. joined the family business and in 1979 transformed G.E.M. into a sub S corporation expanding the range of construction services to commercial projects as both a general contractor and design-build specialist.
