Superintendents - Hinton, WVA


As the Superintendent, you will help develop schedules, work plans and productions during the bidding process as well as develop and monitor work plans and productions in the field after project award. You will confirm required permits and licenses are obtained and will execute construction contracts. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, Owners, and other pertinent stakeholders to ensure project specifications, requirements, and other regulations are met. You will be responsible for inspecting the work quality and timeliness and will provide progress reports to owners and architects, making recommendations for necessary modifications. You will need to monitor the budget throughout the project and communicate variances as they occur. You will ensure projects maintain records related to costs, quantities installed and inventory.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with regional General Superintendent to develop strategic growth plans, yearly budgets, equipment purchase plans, and employee capacity.

  • Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles.
  • Ability to recognize skilled and unskilled trade talents and weaknesses.
  • Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.
  • Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction sites.
  • Thorough understanding of quality construction practices.
  • Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Extremely detail-oriented.
