Construction Administrator- DRAW Collective Architecture

As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a dedicated Construction Administrator to join the team to promote and shape the future of architecture in the Pittsburgh region. We are open to hiring either full-time or part-time.
Working with us, you will:
Interpret drawings and specifications. Coordinate design intent and solutions during construction and apply architectural design standards. Ensure compliance with plans, codes, specifications and regulations.
Liaise with consultant engineers, review plans and ensure alignment with client, contractor, subcontractor, sub-subcontractors, construction manager, design team, etc.
Proactively address issues and questions with design team; seek resolution by involving all necessary parties.
Complete all necessary paperwork for all phases to ensure compliance. Research applicable codes/regs. Monitor compliance.
Attend and lead field meetings; prepare minutes and field reports.
Coordinate and observe testing and commissioning activities; document/track and resolve open items/issues.
An ideal candidate has:
Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or closely related field with 3+ years of construction project management experience preferred; or High School diploma with 8+ years of experience in construction project management.
Prior work experience in the architectural field as construction administrator/construction manager/architect or interior designer is applicable.
Software: Constructware, Procore or similar web-based management software; REVIT experience preferred, MS Office proficient and scheduling software experience desired.
Organizational skills: project schedules, time management, follow-through; ability to keep detailed lists and records to ensure compliance and issue resolution. Develop/implement standardized forms and practices to be used firm wide.
Communication skills: well-developed communication skills to build relationships, influence, lead and project credibility with a wide variety of internal and external clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors
Ability to travel to construction sites (valid driver’s license, reliable transportation)
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds, ability to pack/unpack and set up materials
Able and available for local travel to construction sites in the region; following all PPE requirements and adhering to OSHA requirements
When not on construction sites, ability to work in an office (Monday-Thursday) and an option for virtual work (Friday), sitting for long periods of time doing computer work
