Educating Your Workforce on Substance Use Disorder (SUD)

Organizations often conduct annual employee training around physical safety, sexual harassment, and violence in the workplace. According to a recent Gallop poll, 1 in 4 employees reside in a home where addiction is present, and family members of those struggling are five times more likely to end up in the hospital. Yet, training is rarely done on SUD in the workplace or at home. In response to this issue, Youturn Health developed a training called Recovery First Aid to help employees better understand how to discuss this challenging topic at work and in their personal lives.

Learners will gain a deeper understanding of the following:

1. How to create a culture that addresses SUD.
2. How it impacts employees and their families.
3. How to be an ambassador within your organization.

Youturn Health’s Recovery First Aid Training addresses the following topics:

Common signs of someone who may be struggling with SUD
How to recognize SUD on the job and in family situations
The impact on family members and how to approach the subject
The proper mindset to approach someone and how to speak with them about SUD
How to have informed conversations across your organization Participants who complete the entire session will receive a certificate of completion from Youturn Health.
